Follow our busy family as we share parenting hacks, travel tips, product reviews, home organization, must-have items and so much more!
But first, let us introduce ourselves...
We're so happy you're here! We are Josh and Jackie, co-creators of 'Finds For The Fam.' We have two amazing kiddos that keep us always learning and on our toes. We created this platform as a way to share what works for us (and what doesn't) and the tools we use to survive another day.
We met in college in 2007, fell in love, learned a lot about each other and ourselves, and have been growing together ever since. After graduating in 2011, we were married in 2012 and welcomed our son Landon in 2013. Eden came along in 2017 and completed Team Dimino, and here we are!
While we know it goes without saying for most of you out there, parenting through the pandemic was HARD. We had an atypical learner in the house, and over the first few months with a front row seat to his struggles, we figured out the importance of a routine for him. This really forced us to look at our daily life and figure out what we could do to help him. It turns out that some of the routines we established helped ALL of us stay organized, and we are excited to share some of that with all of you.
If you are looking for perfect people with a perfect plan though, we sure aren't that. We try our hardest everyday (and maybe some days, not hard enough!) We lose our tempers occasionally, we run out of patience, we don't always give ourselves enough grace (or time!), we have days where we doubt ourselves just like all of you, but we count every day as a fresh start. As Josh says "all progress is good progress", and so we are moving in the right direction and will continue to share our finds, tips, and of course our pitfalls with all of you. Parenthood is about lifting each other up, so we are excited to welcome you to our family here at Finds For The Fam.

Family Organization Hacks
We are both small business owners which sometimes makes our schedule a bit unconventional. Also - like many of you - our young kids are growing up too fast. They have their own interests, hobbies and friends to keep up with now! Often times we have been left asking 'How do other families do this?!' By constantly looking for solutions to every day problems, we have found some awesome hacks and items that work for us and we are so excited to share them with you.
Some of the things you can look forward to unpacking with us include:
Home organization for the busy family
Car organization for Mom's on the go
Youth Sports & Kids Activities Organization
Small business owner life-hacks
Meal prep and planning
Also featured...
Coaching your kid to eat a single vegetable
How to dodge bedtime delay tactics including snack, potty, and water demands
How to cope when you realize they ARE in fact your monkeys, AND your circus
How to use humor and grace as survival tools
Hopefully by now you can tell we try not to take ourselves too seriously. Parenting is 90% on-the-job training. We as parents are still trying to figure all the things out, but you can watch us stride, stumble and laugh along the way. We don't pretend to have ALL the secrets (our closest friends and family have seen our train go off the tracks enough times!), but we don't want to gate-keep what works for us as we grow. So here we are! We know you will find some goodies that will help you on your parenting journey too.
Camping & Travel
As a young family, we were looking for an affordable way to spend quality time and make memories with our young kids. Josh had fond memories of tent camping a few times as a kid, and although it was far from anything extravagant - those few fond memories stayed with him from childhood into fatherhood. Jackie loves being outdoors and the peace that comes with it - but you can count her out for sleeping on the ground in a tent!
In 2018 we found a decent price on an old '96 Jayco Popup Camper which needed a lot of elbow-grease, bleach, paint and love (more about that in another post). That camper would take us on many wonderful trips and would have all four of us fall in love with camping / RV-ing. In September of 2020, we purchased a hybrid travel trailer as we needed more room for our growing kiddos and to better accommodate the newest addition to our family, our boarder collie golden retriever, Ella.
We started our RV journey with zero knowledge. Now, with over six seasons of camping under our belts, we have learned quite a few things we think you will find helpful.
Some of the things you can look forward to unpacking with us include:
How to travel with kids and pets
What to bring and what NOT to bring RV-ing
How to stay organized and keep your sanity in a small space
Our favorite RV gear and camping essentials
RV / Camper maintenance, repairs and modifications
Tips and tricks for long road trips with children
Self Care for Mom & Dad
Often times during this busy season of our lives, we do our best to serve those around us. But as a good friend has told us repeatedly over the years, you can't pour from an empty cup. Sometimes, our cups feel very empty! While real and authentic self care comes through rest, prayer, reflection, and meditation (and we do that, too!) we have found ways through tools and processes to boost our confidence on a bad day, fun things that have helped us serve each other in our marriage, and of course things that can help us to love ourselves better.
As a mom, Jackie has sometimes fallen into the comparison trap and that can be difficult for anyone's self esteem as we navigate parenthood. As a "midsized mom", she is hopeful to provide other beautiful moms out there with ideas regarding ways to dress to flatter your figure while exploring some of the latest fashions, outfits and finds that are both functional and fun, and of course, whatever gives you that sparkle back. As a hardworking and loving parent, you deserve to find joy and confidence. Let's find it together!
Some of the things you can look forward to unpacking with us include:
Mid-sized Mom fashion ideas
Skincare and cosmetic recommendations
Fitness and health solutions
At home date night options
Prayer and reflection journals, books, and plans
and of course, a glimpse into Jackie's tumbler obsession
